Sunday morning, everyone will find a note under their door.

You are cordially invited to a movie marathon in the entertainment room! Come and go as you please!
After everything we've been through the last week, it would be nice to have a group activity where we can all relax, especially for Tails, Sonic, and Knuckles.
Our list of movies includes:
Shrek
Shrek 2
Jupiter Ascending
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Extended Edition)
...and movies of your choice!

Bring snacks, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude! ☺

Yes, this is handwritten and copied for each and every person here. Or, at least each and every room.

The entertainment room itself has not been decorated or anything—this was not planned with that much foresight—but the chairs and couches have all been arranged so they're close together for maximum occupancy and maximum movie theater imitation. Some people will probably have to cuddle up on the floor against couches or find some beanbags or something, but it'll be cozy!

An amount of popcorn, soda, and candy have been provided, but you will probably need to restock at some point, especially if you're staying for the whole marathon!

Before the movies start, Percy can be seen slapping things onto the walls – stickers! A variety of them! He takes a while because he's currently trying to peel them with one hand and his teeth, but he gets them up, and once he's done, he stands back and marvels at his work a little. Consider this his way of helping out a little. ]

He settles on one of the couches afterwards with a bag of popcorn. That's really all he could manage to carry. ]

[Turo honestly sort of assumed the invitation was for Gyles; he picked it up and left it on his roommate's pillow before going about his day. But the entertainment room isn't all that closed off, and people are milling in and out such that it doesn't seem like a totally private party...

Eventually he just sort of turns up partway through one of the movies, standing against a wall in the back rather than take any of the limited seating.]

[ Ashley has the strong memory of Turo getting ripped open by a purple metal lizard...but at the same time based on like...some context clues from yesterday's fight have her thinking...he may not be entirely human? This is not the big surprise it was three weeks ago.

The point is, Ashley does do a small startle when she sees him, but he's probably observed she's just...a jumpy person by nature, when she gets worked up? It might be that! Still, she approaches him between movies. ]

[ It's time for everyone to welcome the best ogre in the world into their hearts. ]

[ A movie about ogres and such...they probably never seen Shrek personally, but the knowledge of its release is probably out there. Who knows.

What we do know is that they're laughing at appropriate times because the sense of humor while kind of...perhaps immature for most people, they are apparently not one of them. ]

Perhaps the enemies should truly check themselves before they shrek themselves!

[...this whole thing may seem a little lowbrow for him, but he is actually having a pretty good time. maybe that's because he brought some wine and is kicking it back. which may mean he is kind of. gripped by the hallelujah segment...???? not, like, openly weeping, just contemplative. you know how it is. he's thinking a lot of facts.

...there are definitely a few things he kind of... has to ask about, though. like the matrix segment during the fight with robin hood and his merry men.]

...I feel as though this movie assumes a great deal of knowledge that I simply do not have.

[ Ashley hasn't actually seen this movie yet but honestly it's about to become the subject of all her fanfiction. ]

[ well, after being unconscious for an unspecified amount of time, wolfwood will be glad to have some time to kick back and relax. especially since he's going to be needing to with his injuries and everything. (may the reality of the drawback of wolfwood's abilities be known to him.) so, here he is. on the couch with some popcorn and one of his arm bandaged up and up in a sling. there are some other random bandages/plasters on him here and there but most of them are going to be covered by his clothes.

more importantly, though, is that the movie doesn't even have to be that far in before wolfwood is questioning why he decided to sit in on this one verses the others. truly. ...though maybe this is also his fault for thinking that it was going to be a fun(?) space movie. ]

They really couldn't think up of a better name? Caine Wise?

[you're really gonna have the yearnatron 6000 watch a movie full of people insanely loyal to each other involving a creepy corrupting magical artifact? for over three hours? really?]

[ Yves is trying. He is trying! So HARD to pay attention. It's not a bad movie by any means! It really feels like a fantasy book brought to life, and when/if he ever learns how movies are made, he surely can appreciate the effort and care put into the direction.

HOWEVER. Compared to the other movies, there sure are a lot of... slower moments. Truly an extended edition And dialogue that doesn't quite make sense to him the first time. So a good ways into it, Yves has curled up with a throw pillow on his end of the couch. When the movie has a particularly loud sfx or the soundtrack swells to a crest, he perks up but weakly... ]

[ It's...certainly dramatic. They don't really have a lot of big opinions on the cast so far, but that's just because they're very particular. ]

He watched Shrek, and he has to live with that now. Now it's time for a movie he actually likes, and he thinks at least Knuckles will appreciate Bruce Lee. Maybe some other people too. Who knows.]
