holeful[Everyone is pretty beaten and battered from the fight that seemed like it was going to be our glorious victory, but instead things in a lot of ways got worse? But at least no one died. So there's that.
An hour or two after the group retreated to the base, Fukuda's going around getting people's attention, asking them to gather in the central space of the office-turned-secret-base. But there's a bunch of new?? Stuff there?? Including the following;
- Chips, seaweed snacks, cookies, and other snacks
- Bottled drinks (mostly water and soda, though there's a few bottles of alcohol)
- A lavish assortment of blankets, cushions, and pillows
- A TV and a handful of movies to watch on it, if someone can find a place to plug it in
- A sheet cake that someone's done their best to write in frosting "MISSION COMPLETE" and then hastily crossed it out with MORE frosting and instead written "GET WELL SOON"]
I spent some of my time this week, when I went into the city to scout, gathering supplies to have a little party, since I figured after we beat Eggman everyone would be leaving soon... It'd be fun to have a little sleepover type of party... But I think it's just as well now, since we could use a little mood boost?

sacrificialpawn[Oscar is a practiced master at Coping (tm) in the face of things he would prefer not to address in any sort of healthy or rational manner. After the events of yesterday, he's somehow getting the feeling that he isn't the only one, which means that in his mind there is only one thing to do: this translates to yet another Walmart booze heist (even larger than the original), a few side trips to amass snacks because RIP his kitchen, and some haphazardly erected decorations in one of the spare rooms to try to at least give off something of a celebratory atmosphere... but let's be real here, this is just Misery x CPR x Reese's Puffs + alcohol.
Sunday morning will find handwritten notes tucked under everyone's doors inviting them to a party that evening, snacks and drinks (that particular word underlined a couple of times, just in case people didn't pick up on the meaning of "party") provided gratis.

THE (SHARD)BEACH EPISODE 🌊🛹
Feb. 9th, 2025 01:52 pmlavenfallenAfter a grueling two weeks filled to the brim with pain and suffering, a break is more than deserved. So while Gyles is far from a planner of activities, he'll make sure everyone (even the NPCs. stares directly at Redd.) knows about a world he accidentally stumbled upon. As far as he knows, it doesn't have a name, but do the details really matter???? Absolutely not.
What matters is that this is a beautiful beach by the ocean. The sun's shining, the water's warm enough to swim in, and there's plenty of critters and shells to find among the tide pools and beneath the waves. If you're brave enough, you could even take a boat out on the water! ... but maybe don't do that alone?
Don't have a swimsuit? No problem! There's a beach shack with all the swimwear and beach-goer attire you could possibly want, along with things like sunscreen, fishing gear, inflatable beach toys, and snorkels. Basically if you want it, it's there, I'm sure as hell not gonna stop you. The shack also sells whatever cold treats and snacks your heart desires.
There's also a fire pit, perfect for late night s'mores and stories around a bonfire, and a charcoal barbeque for the cooks among the group. The nearby convenience store doesn't have as wide a selection as W*lmart, but there's a decent selection of meats, veggies, and drinks to choose from.
If you're not one for the sand, then a very short walk away from the shore is surely the biggest skate park anyone's ever seen. If you didn't bring your skateboard or hoverboard with you, that's a-okay because there are plenty that're free to borrow. There's also some rollerskates, if that's more your style.

After everything we've been through the last week, it would be nice to have a group activity where we can all relax, especially for Tails, Sonic, and Knuckles.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Extended Edition)
...and movies of your choice!
Bring snacks, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude! ☺

The entertainment room itself has not been decorated or anything—this was not planned with that much foresight—but the chairs and couches have all been arranged so they're close together for maximum occupancy and maximum movie theater imitation. Some people will probably have to cuddle up on the floor against couches or find some beanbags or something, but it'll be cozy!
An amount of popcorn, soda, and candy have been provided, but you will probably need to restock at some point, especially if you're staying for the whole marathon!
