Party Rock Anthem only it's played on kazoos
[Oscar is a practiced master at Coping (tm) in the face of things he would prefer not to address in any sort of healthy or rational manner. After the events of yesterday, he's somehow getting the feeling that he isn't the only one, which means that in his mind there is only one thing to do: this translates to yet another Walmart booze heist (even larger than the original), a few side trips to amass snacks because RIP his kitchen, and some haphazardly erected decorations in one of the spare rooms to try to at least give off something of a celebratory atmosphere... but let's be real here, this is just Misery x CPR x Reese's Puffs + alcohol.
Sunday morning will find handwritten notes tucked under everyone's doors inviting them to a party that evening, snacks and drinks (that particular word underlined a couple of times, just in case people didn't pick up on the meaning of "party") provided gratis.
There's alcohol, there's soda for the minors, there's plenty of junk food to eat, and there are a whole bunch of other people who are also Going Through It. What better recipe for a party could you ask for?
... don't answer that.]

the two of them have made so much progress(?) in their friendship(???????????) with one another and yet, it still can and will always boil down to wolfwood wishing to cause some level of bodily harm upon them. but by the grace of god, wolfwood will not and take his time responding by finishing off whatever was left in his glass before pouring himself another drinking without any hesitation.
...and then helping himself to half of that before speaking. ]
Fine. Enlighten me.

This party could do with some amusement; plus they have an opportunity to be brutally honest.
Please don't expect 20 paragraphs, because I want to not die. ]
...Fine, then.
I believe that your looks are relatively decent; I am many things, but far be it for me to be blind. Though, you could stand to clean up by far, so of course that detracts immensely from whatever pleasant points you could stand to gain from it.
Next, your personality lends to ease of talk and speech. Though it can be hard for most to know you deeply, it'd be with ease that others can get along swiftly on a surface level. It's hampered by the fact that you refuse to properly look out for yourself and it may grate on those who see your positive aspects.
You are a decent fighter. Coordination is something you can do without even uttering a single word. And most would find such experience quite a good point. However, you need to work on your teamwork; it is still lacking.
[ The last sentence is not something that they believe, they just inserted it to see his reaction. ]
Though, when you put your mind to it, you show elements of being a good leader. However, since you show no real interest in it, those incredible points go to waste, and therefore where such qualities would shine they rot away instead.
There are quite a bit of appealing and good qualities, but these are I feel the main ones which have their detraction as well. I'm sure you appreciated well the honesty.
If you wish to express your thanks for my thoughtful opinion, please feel free at any time.
[ ... ]
That's all.

but no, it's fine. the entire time that void archives goes on and on about where they stand with wolfwood, he'll just help himself to his drink. (probably going back for some more—if not bringing the rest of the bottle with him.) as he expected, they had a lot to say; he just didn't know how much.
he does, in fact, snort when they make the comment about how wolfwood could improve his teamwork. as if there would be a reason for him to improve that before he went home; whatever he was doing here was working enough to get by and has been. ]
Huh.
[ yep. that sure is everything that he says first after the wrap up. here's where he'll finish up his drink, be it the bottle or otherwise. ]
Almost thought ya'd have more to say. [ not that they haven't said enough already, but who is wolfwood to be anything but contrary when it comes to them? ] Didn't expect it to be half of a critique of my character.
[ .... ]
Suppose that deserves some credit.
no subject
Anyway, yes, there is always ten times more room for improvement even if honestly they hadn't leveraged that kind of criticism with any bit of severity re: teamwork, though it is probably also applicable, considering. The other aspects definitely were far more intentional to be half a critique of character.
They're passing a little smirk at the contrary response, though. ]
Did you now? Please do be quite grateful I put in this much effort and thought.
Though, if you're saying that, I guess you're showing some semblance of gratitude in return. I'll accept the deserved praise, naturally.
[ As if what Wolfwood said can be constituted as praise. ]

It's been over a month of havin' to deal with ya and it took me less than a week to figure out that yer the type who loves to talk.
[ something that some others did not come to realize until much later. the poor sods who sincerely put in the effort to listen to everything that they had to say at any time. or the fools who didn't know not to take the bait that they so love to hold out for certain situations. ]
But there's only so much alcohol I should be drinkin' if I want to bother to listen to everythin' ya gotta say.
no subject
[ This, they're sure of.
"The fools who didn't know how not to take the bait"...seeing this particular line is actually pretty hilarious. ]
Either way, it isn't like I'm playing this game with the intention of speaking so much at length. Though, I certainly can and will do so if I feel like it.
[ They are saying the first part of the sentence like they're doing everyone a favor, but the second part that comes out kind of invalidates that, doesn't it... ]

[ never mind that there are smart people who are very stupid. people can be smart about all sorts of things but wolfwood will raise an eyebrow at the next things they tell him.
uh huh.... ]
...so, just how often are ya feelin' particularly chatty? Anyone else ya've had plenty to talk about 'nd felt the need to share?
no subject
[ Pointed pause. ]
Not all of them. But some nonetheless.
[ Said in a rather patronizing tone but they are still not exactly a kind fellow. ]
Usually I feel 'chatty' rather often. And perhaps there has been...if you would like, you could always guess~?
no subject
[ because won't that end up being a sobering realization. ]
Sure, why the hell not. [ I WILL NOT CHEAT WITH OOC KNOWLEDGE so wolfwood will just simply look around the group and hum to himself. still drinking btw. ] Betcha could have plenty to say about the robot that looks obviously like a robot.
no subject
[ But, they can understand why he wouldn't, actually.
They also just take a sip, looking entirely amused. ]
I might have some things to say here or there.
Though in this case, that is not who I'm thinking of, and not quite at length in the way I would in accordance to this game. Do you want to try again?
no subject
[ the lukewarm answer he gets about vakama seems about fair. he doesn't think there could be as much as he could say about the guy either. hmmm.... as wolfwood looks around, he just has to ask: ]
What if I just go down the list of options? Does that work for ya?
no subject
[ They look 'thoughtful' as if giving Wolfwood some deep consideration (they are not, they already decided.) ]
...Hmm, you know what, you can go ahead and do so. That may be fun - in whichever order you feel so inclined, and I can simply deny or say whether or not it may be someone I could say quite a bit about.
Feel free to start whenever you are ready~

Alright then, from the top then—
[ aand for the first person he sees: ]
More.
no subject
I could see myself having speaking a good amount on him.
So, that is one individual, at the least.
[ Then, they ask: ]
Next person in line?
