FINAL CONFRONTATION
Throughout this week, you all have been hard at work preparing for your final confrontation with the person behind all of this - Neo Metal Sonic. His fleet of ships has taken over the skies, and Tails has been working on a means to get you safely onto the correct one. Given that you've all been called into the workshop today, it seems like it's finally time.
"I've got the correct coordinates and we're ready to go. We'll all be joining you in this fight."
Sonic nods and continues, "Let's avoid a repeat of last time, yeah? I'm still going to try to keep his attention on me since the plan is still the same - you guys have gotta knock the Master Emerald outta him!"
"You all have had some practice with your powers and with what the Master Emerald can do, so you should be better prepared for this fight. Still, remain on guard!"
Tails flicks the device to life and a portal opens. Unlike the rings, this one doesn't show where exactly you'll be going. "Everyone ready? Let's put an end to this."
You arrive in the interior of one of those ships - the long hallway you're in is made of thick, dark silver steel, with absolutely nothing in the way of dΓ©cor. The way behind you leads to a door - gated shut, with seemingly no way to open it from this side - while the path ahead of you leads up a small flight of stairs to what can only be described as a throne. It is simplistic in design and still made of that dark, practical steel without any adornments or embellishments, but it provides Neo Metal Sonic a height advantage to loom over you, something he couldn't really manage on most of you without taking to floating.
He sits in the chair now, red eyes fixed on all of you. One elbow is propped on the arm of the chair and his chin leans against his hand, giving off the air of "bored monarch" that he's probably going for.
"So you've arrived. You've kept me waiting."
He gets up then, rising to float as he had before, sparks of that familiar green Chaos Energy flaring to life around him. "Let's not waste any more time. I'll destroy you all here and now. And you," his eyes flick to Sonic, "will trouble me no further."
"Does it even really count when I'm not the version of Sonic you've fought before...?"
"Silence." Sonic shrugs and Neo Metal Sonic dismisses him, turning his attention back to you all. "You all have caused enough problems for me. Once I've crushed you all, nothing will be able to stop me."

Enough yer glowin' asshole. [ hand (and feather tendril) back on one of their arms with vice grip. ] Read the fuckin' room here.
[ god who knew it would be wolfwood to be saying these words at the end of the day in a situation like this. who knew..... ]
What's goin' on with them is too real for ya, huh? Too hard for ya to handle so yer takin' the easiest way out.
[ maybe he shouldn't go saying words that would make things worse but here he is. ]

But, really, all of them are in super-powered mode, so that's what matters, right? Still, it isn't as if they fear hurting the man. They simply aren't exactly eager to necessarily attack him at first even if they did say to come and fight them.
But then he says all of that and their eyes narrow. ]
Hmph. Isn't talking to him and naively pursuing this course of action clearly the easy way out? After all of that effort, to get to this point?
[ They then suddenly rush Wolfwood, and then dissolve the scythe, before with all of their strength move to try to thrust their hands against him so hard with an attempt to push him to the ground (so that they can run over or on top of him. It's very brazen) ]

Maybe. [ definitely. ] It's certainly the stupidest way to handle things at the very last possible moment. Lettin' the guy who has been tormenting us and fuckin' with us for months get away with their crimes but...
[ wolfwood really didn't expect him to be pulling out this card but after everything... at the very end of the day and after everything that they've talked about and what is at stake— ]
But it's somethin' that yer Welt would have done. [ ... ] It's somethin' that Vash would have done.
[ and you can't expect wolfwood to betray vash again, especially like this. ]

After all, one set of them do hit deep. Not the first part of them, but rather...
One thing at a time, though. ]
The most foolish, indeed.
That is all there is to it.
You're soft. Softer than I thought.
[ They sneer at him, and want to tear into Wolfwood with their bare hands, as they gain momentum. But at the same time, that isn't what they want, either. ]
Dear Welt would have been determined, and yet faltered at the end. Motivations to him matter; though, even that is circumstantial. I suppose if he acted this pitiful, even he would have felt sorrowful for him...
But you must understand. I am not Welt. Nor are you Vash.
What is the point in honoring what either one of them would have done, if we are dealing with someone who tried to torture us essentially into insanity?

there's a smirk on his face as he begins his response to them. ]
What's the point? I can't believe yer askin' me that.
[ but then again, there have been other times where void archives has failed to understand something so simple. well, simple yet also illogical. logical and yet...not. ]
The two of them are important to us and one of the ways ya can show how much someone means to ya is by doin' things that wouldn't upset them.
[ he says so simply because it is that simple when you want it to be that simple. there are times to complicate things but sometimes it doesn't have to be complicated. ]
Yer Welt might be able to have his mind changed if things played out a bit differently, but I know Vash wouldn't.
[ "and vash means more to me than my own life." ]

...You're not only soft.
You're a soft-hearted fool.
[ ...They didn't realize they were surrounded by such gentle hearts. It's sickening. And as they consider matters further, they know Welt wouldn't have changed his mind once learning all that all of them had.
Even in a different scenario. But, they feel petulant enough not to make that slow realization spoken into words. ]
Tsk...
I have learned many things about people. But, it seems that there are ways in which you can still confound me.
Either way, I am nowhere near as considerate as you - and nor do I wish to be. He can very well kill us for letting our guard down.
Do you wish to accept that responsibility, hm? That it was a mistake to be any form of lenient as you are now?
