Eggman's robot stands unmoving just outside of the city limits. It has caused a lot of destruction in its wake, and the area where it has come to rest has been warped by Eggman's trademark chroma. Worse still, the various robots composing Eggman's army are concentrated here, meaning that trying to find a way in is going to be exceptionally difficult.
Your colorful allies tell you as much, but Sonic doesn't seem worried in the slightest.
"The three of us will keep 'em distracted. Egghead wants a piece of me, so the three of us will fight the robots."
"We'll send you guys in with a ring to hopefully catch him off-guard. If what we've theorized is correct, you should be able to literally knock the Master Emerald out of him, and once you have that, he shouldn't be much of a threat."
"Best of luck, warriors."
The plan is straightforward and simple enough, and your friends take off once everyone's ready to go. They've left you with two rings - one to get in, and one to get out. When you're all prepared, step inside.
Welcome to Eggman's control room. Bathed in black and green light, the inside of the robot's head is composed of three sections: a smooth circular outer wall that is sloped and would be difficult (but not impossible) to stand on, a circular platform in the center (far larger than the picture for the purposes of this fight), and an alcove built into the wall that houses a man and several high-tech devices. The man does not look up from the screens he's watching as you enter.
Eggman, on the other hand, is already aware of your presence.
"Here come the would-be heroes. Did you really think marching in here was a bright idea? In case you've forgotten, I hold all the power here."
Green lightning-like energy sparks around him and to him as he speaks, and Eggman kicks off the platform to move to float in the air - high enough up that it would be a pain to try to reach him without hoverboards. Of course, you do still have those...
"You all aren't who I'm after. Stone, take care of them."
He flicks a finger in the direction of the other human present in the control room who jolts a bit in response before furiously tapping away at the keyboard on the control panel in front of him. Eggman simply turns his attention away from you all, to focus back on Sonic and friends who are currently in the process of wrecking his robots. Occasionally he does something and the entire robot shifts - moving to punch or aim attacks at Sonic and friends with said robot which will cause the whole of the robot to move - mind your footing!
[The moment Eggman is free from the shields, he moves to flashstep from one of those attacks aimed his way... and hits one of those candles Wednesday and Jinx set up, setting off an explosion that will thankfully only hurt him. Eggman is still kicking, but it seems like the damage is starting to get to him - he doesn't have any witty retorts this time and seems... oddly more focused and quiet than usual.
Thankfully, it seems that more mind control is not on the agenda, because he's more focused on Mafuyu's attack aimed at Stone. The man in question looks up from the monitors, completely impassive, and Eggman intercepts that frost with a bolt of that green lightning that completely dissipates the frost. Thankfully, that was his action for this round, which means you all are spared from further stupidity.
...Well. Sort of.
Stone is still here, after all, and he brings up wall-mounted laser guns that fire off heavy attacks at Lucifer (x4???), Mafuyu, Viktor, and Percy. These attacks cannot be dodged. Sorry, Luci, but you're probably being knocked down to like 1HP.]
[Eggman's cold focus doesn't go unnoticed. Dorothy looks out to their injured allies, of the chaos in their wake, and Dorothy will go over to Wolfwood and hold out her hand.]
Sir Wolfwood, shall we give this a go?
[Her shard is shining bright, but it's light is warmer, somehow. Ready to help, rather than harm.]
Ya don't have to ask me twice. Let's just hope whatever happens ends up bein' one hell of an ability.
[ just like before, he'll easily take her hand with his own shard shining brightly. after everything that everyone is currently going through, the irritation and frustration (and concern) about their entire situation will make whatever they're about to do come easily. ]
[As if on cue, their powers combine and it sends a wave of power into the air that looks like a gentle bunch of clouds--a contrast to the power that Mafuyu and Lark wielded, a gentle rain begins to fall upon all of their allies, healing them for a good amount over the next three turns.
But of course, this rain does have some other benefits--namely, that it's droplets are like acid to their enemies caught up in the storm, as well. Dorothy can already feel her arm beginning to heal a bit--]
[It's a little too late to buff his defense before all those laser attacks, but Turo reaches out to terastallize Lucifer afterwards, at least. It seems to at least stop things like...massive bleeding...due to the crystals and all?]
[ He's not doing NEARLY as bad as Lucifer, dear god, but he is stil in so much pain...so he's a little down for the count this round. (I am also STILL SLEEPY so this is a rest round for Cocos.) ]
( mafuyu shrieks, and she's just a kid, so like- this is. probably very bad. but... she's going to try again, trying to take advantage of the winter storm to strengthen her ice. )
[At least the heavy attack doesn't land on her, much as she might have anticipated it, as Basilio will intercept for her - some might say it's so she can keep up the winter storm, but let's be real here, it's just to protect her.]
[He's still recouping from getting his mask slapped off by Dorothy (thank you Dorothy) but he can't help but follow Stone's actions, rather than the slow change of Eggman.

He backed off with a scowl of pain, other hand pressed to a hollow wound of burned circuitry in his side. Much more of this, and he wouldn't be able to hold out. They needed something decisive, immediate and overwhelming destruction like-]

[ Rather than team up for this round, she's going to go ahead and just. Fire a bolt at Stone to see if Eggman continues to prioritize saving him. But just at his arm or something. ]

[Probably just because Stone's the one supporting with really annoying AOEs, let's be real.
While some of the others work on trying to immobilize Stone, Raven has an idea.]

[He motions for Yeager to flank Eggman opposite himself. Once they're in position, he activates their bond power to freeze Eggman in place. Opposites attract, baybee.]
[And here we go!! Yeager's making his token appearance in this fight just for this. This will shut Eggman down for a turn, at least, so bless this shardbond (and the timing).]
[ Ashley's getting pretty sick of all of this. A rage fills her, white hot, at the thought of being used, at the thought of her friends being used as weapons.
It's then, coincidentally, that she sees Fukuda, who has just come out of his own terrible mind control.
And she has a sudden, sharp thought. Impulsive. She calls out— ]
Fukuda! [ She raises the hand with her shard. ] I want to make him hurt. Do you?
[He practically jumps at being addressed by Ashley, but it only takes him a second to nod emphatically, and gingerly press his hand against hers.]
Taking someone's control of their own thoughts and actions away from them... We've all had quite enough of that, I think. The doctor needs to reflect on what he's done wrong.
[Pointing at Robotnik with his free hand, inflicting him with terrible crippling hallunications equivalent to the scale of his crimes. So I guess everyone in Chicago is yelling at him.]
