FINALE

[With the Chaos Emeralds removed, Metal Madness simply doesn't have the energy he needs to keep this body together. Pieces begin to crumble, starting from the extremities - metal breaking apart and falling free piece by piece, rapidly accelerating as it gets closer to Metal Madness' core. He falls as those pieces continue to break off - and by sheer coincidence, one of those ships happens to be beneath him as Metal Madness breaks apart to leave Neo Metal Sonic behind. He crashes into the deck of the ship, leaving quite the impressive impact crater.

Your friends exchange glances before Tails tosses another ring and they go to check on your robotic enemy.

Neo Metal Sonic has managed to pull himself out of the crater he left behind on the ship's deck, but he can only barely get back to his feet with the amount of damage he's sustained. His eyes are sparking wildly, the usual clear red display flickering in and out. His limbs have likewise seen far better days, bent and angled awkwardly with even more sparks flying. Without the Chaos Emeralds to power him, it seems he's running on the absolute last of his strength.

And yet when he sees Sonic, he coils sharply, like he's planning to put that strength into one last-ditch attempt to accomplish something today, even if it is just the death of one version of his hated enemy in a world that isn't even his to begin with.

But... he releases that tension sharply, crashing to a knee on the deck and refusing to move from there.

Sonic looks... "conflicted" isn't exactly the right word, because he doesn't have quite as much context as you guys do. Still, his usual easy smile is gone and when he turns to you guys, he inclines his head a bit to indicate Neo Metal Sonic.]

So what exactly do you think we should do with this guy? He's definitely not going anywhere anytime soon.

He's not from our world, but I'm not sure it's really a good idea to send him back to his own...

We could send him to the Void. He wouldn't be able to hurt anyone else there.

[The trio look to you guys. After all, this was your fight; your enemy. What do you want to do from here?]
