THE (SHARD)BEACH EPISODE 🌊🛹

After a grueling two weeks filled to the brim with pain and suffering, a break is more than deserved. So while Gyles is far from a planner of activities, he'll make sure everyone (even the NPCs. stares directly at Redd.) knows about a world he accidentally stumbled upon. As far as he knows, it doesn't have a name, but do the details really matter???? Absolutely not.

What matters is that this is a beautiful beach by the ocean. The sun's shining, the water's warm enough to swim in, and there's plenty of critters and shells to find among the tide pools and beneath the waves. If you're brave enough, you could even take a boat out on the water! ... but maybe don't do that alone?

Don't have a swimsuit? No problem! There's a beach shack with all the swimwear and beach-goer attire you could possibly want, along with things like sunscreen, fishing gear, inflatable beach toys, and snorkels. Basically if you want it, it's there, I'm sure as hell not gonna stop you. The shack also sells whatever cold treats and snacks your heart desires.

There's also a fire pit, perfect for late night s'mores and stories around a bonfire, and a charcoal barbeque for the cooks among the group. The nearby convenience store doesn't have as wide a selection as W*lmart, but there's a decent selection of meats, veggies, and drinks to choose from.

If you're not one for the sand, then a very short walk away from the shore is surely the biggest skate park anyone's ever seen. If you didn't bring your skateboard or hoverboard with you, that's a-okay because there are plenty that're free to borrow. There's also some rollerskates, if that's more your style.

Relax, unwind, and enjoy the (shard)beach episode, Shardbearers.

Yeah, I'm sure it brought back all sort of pleasant memories...

[ even if wolfwood doesn't roll his eyes at them, it will be very clear in his voice that he's rolling his eyes. can't say that he didn't set himself up for that statement nor the one that follows right after. why be surprised by how the cards fall at this point? ]

And here I thought I could have gotten away with a freebie.

[ except not really; it would have been more surprising if they did give wolfwood a freebie instead of making him work (suffer) for it. he'll just have to hold out and see if they're going to aim to go for something deep or ask something ridiculous of him. ]

Truth; I'm done embarrassin' myself for the moment.

[ It...definitely is very clear. Sometimes one doesn't even so much as need to show a singular bit of action to indicate that - if Void Archives does not cause such exasperation in an individual, well...

It's a rarity. Let's leave it at that. They'll be passing Wolfwood an amused look regardless. ]

You say that, but often something is far more rewarding when you have to work for it, hm~?

[ They say this with a jocular tone, knowing that the man couldn't have been serious. Not in the slightest. But, when he chooses 'Truth' of all things, that gets the blond to consider matters carefully. Until they land on something sufficient: ]

I'll take a page out of your book. Tell me something about your life that you haven't told anyone here before?

I'll keep that in mind the next time it becomes relevant between the two of us.

[ because without a shred of doubt in his mind, the moment he is going to be able to capitalize on this, he absolutely will. it shouldn't always be wolfwood who ends up eating his own words!!! someone else needs to join him down here!!!

the question that he gets from void archives, however, can be approached in two ways as far as he's concerned given how little he has talked about himself. "how to get close to others while talking about everything but yourself in eight week challenge" by one nicholas d. wolfwood. he'll take a moment to consider how he'll want to approach it before answering.
