With Mecha Sonic, Robo Knuckles, and Tails Doll defeated, you've successfully kept Chicago safe, and dealt a blow to Eggman's forces. Still, there's a lot that's left unexplained. Who was that mysterious voice? Why did these robots look so different from the ones you've seen before now? Why didn't Sonic and friends recognize them? There's no answers to your questions today, unfortunately.
You'll be escorted home by the trio after everyone's picked themselves up, healed off the damage, and had a moment to recover. Feel free to play out the immediate aftermath and/or the return to the base in this post!
Mm. When you didn't wake up after the fight, we wanted to make sure at least someone took a look at you. I'm glad he kept his word.
[There's still a lot of more minor crush damage and skid marks peppering Vakama's armor, but he at least gestures to the leg he'd been favoring during the back half of the fight, a tell-tall mark of fresh welding at one of the seams.]
Viktor didn't entirely take me apart while scolding me, so I figure I'm well enough for now. Better than most, from the looks of it.
Well, it's Tails, you know. You don't have to worry about him keeping to his word, because he always will. [...] Even if it's sometimes to the detriment of himself.
[Dorothy will walk over and give Vakama a quick look over, but her lips do quirk a little bit at that statement.]
...It would certainly seem so, goodness. Viktor is rather deft with repairs, at least, but scolding you? What happened?
Mn. His earnest heart is both a treasure and a concern... but I'd rather he continue to view it for its benefits.
[As for Viktor? Vakama just kind of rolls his eyes, though it's with a tired and resigned sort of smile.] He was not happy to see me go back out onto the field so soon. Nor did he take kindly to someone poking concern at his own condition.
The man is as stubborn as the rocks themselves, I swear.

He did. I'm going to see if I can't find something to thank him with tomorrow; he must have taken care of me while I...slept.
[...]
How are you faring?
