Sometime in the morning on Sunday, there are little notes that have been slipped under everyone's doors. Written in markers reads the following:

Let's celebrate getting Knuckles back at Olive Garden tonight at 6pm!!!!

…Yeah………but hey, at least these notes will be customized! Each note has two characters, but, uh, these might not be accurate to who's actually in the room. He doesn't know who everyone's roommates are, so he's just hoping for the best I guess. (Someone's note includes the new guy, More. Shizuka is also on one of these as a pink dolphin with glasses.)

Anyway, the Olive Garden seems to have some balloons floating around. With the current state of the residents, nobody seems to care! There are also chefs in the kitchen who will make whatever you ask, but pushing them around enough will get them to leave the kitchen to anyone who wants to make something. (Thank you Redd.) Drinks are available for everyone, alcohol and regular soft drinks alike, and really? The world is your oyster. … Olive?  You get the drill.

I-I just don't like sharing before I'm ready to. It's nothing, like- professional or weird, I just wanted to...write a little something for Tails, like a...fun adventure to de-stress.

[ sorry ashley... at least wolfwood sort of understands where she's coming from. he's heard of others doing that even if its not something that he would do himself. he just nods and leans over the table to grab a bottle of wine (because someone is bound to have asked for some) and a glass to pour it in. ]

[ She turns promptly back to her pasta and starts rooting around it with her fork. ]

[ he chuckles before drinking the wine he poured himself. (drinking all that he had poured himself, actually.) he'll give her some time to process that before continuing. ]

It's not my place to offer any kind of "critique" on somethin' had no business readin' in the first place. [ refilling his glass and hoping that this next part doesn't come off poorly. ] And even if you did ask me, I'd be a shit person to ask.

[ Oh. Oh, thank god, she's not sounding like a freak?

A little gingerly, Ashley glances back at him. ]

I'm not great at words—let alone be able to put them down like you did.

Tell that to all the other in school who thought creative writing would be an easy elective—in high school and college!

[ She sighs, slumping her shoulders a little, finally relaxing a little, it seems. ]

Somehow, even in 200 level courses, I keep getting guys who think they know everything because they read A Song of Ice and Fire.

[ this is wolfwood just nodding along as he drinks his wine pretending to understand what ashley is talking about. he's listening! but...knowing about school is one thing but applying that to him? oh, absolutely not. let's not even touch how he has no idea what "A Song of Ice and Fire" is.

If readin' just one thing makes ya an expert on somethin' then there must be a lot of shitty experts in the world. In my experience, the people who claim to know everythin' end up knowin' what they wanna know.

Ignorance makes some people the belief they have power over others.

[ it's fine. he's used to people just saying things in his presence without bothering to check in with him if he's able to fully follow them or not. comes with being a priest.

Or, if school can't teach ya any of that, the real world is there to humble anyone who thinks too much of themselves.
