Sometime in the morning on Sunday, there are little notes that have been slipped under everyone's doors. Written in markers reads the following:

Let's celebrate getting Knuckles back at Olive Garden tonight at 6pm!!!!
Also I'm bored

…Yeah………but hey, at least these notes will be customized! Each note has two characters, but, uh, these might not be accurate to who's actually in the room. He doesn't know who everyone's roommates are, so he's just hoping for the best I guess. (Someone's note includes the new guy, More. Shizuka is also on one of these as a pink dolphin with glasses.)

Anyway, the Olive Garden seems to have some balloons floating around. With the current state of the residents, nobody seems to care! There are also chefs in the kitchen who will make whatever you ask, but pushing them around enough will get them to leave the kitchen to anyone who wants to make something. (Thank you Redd.) Drinks are available for everyone, alcohol and regular soft drinks alike, and really? The world is your oyster. … Olive?  You get the drill.

Oh, that would have been enjoyable... But no! I travel so often that it would be ill-advised to have one now, anyway.

Hmm... I don't. Travel, I mean. Not that often. My mom works from home half the time, and dad's a high school teacher. It means we stay pretty stationary.

Indeed! There's so much you can learn from traveling, and the sights alone are often worth it! Well, in Terca Lumireis, at the very least, though I'd imagine most worlds have incredible things to offer.

They do! I mean, mine does, I think. I've always wanted to live in New York City, but this whole...thing, it's kind of making me want to see Chicago when it's not, well... Like this.

Are most cities in this world - or, well, yours - like this? Even Zaphias isn't quite this large...

This is bigger than some...but not as big as others. I grew up in a much bigger city, Los Angeles. A lot of movies get made there.

Really? Ah, I still have yet to see one of those...

I would hope so, as they sound truly fascinating! I'll have to figure out how to get any of those devices to work, though...

They're not that hard to wrap your head around, I don't think. Maybe... Oh, it'd be more family-friendly than I think some people here would like, but... What if one of the boys [ she means the talking animal teenagers ] chose something, and we all watched it. That sounds like a...team-building exercise, doesn't it?

Oh, that does sound fun, yes! I'm sure there are others who aren't experienced with them as well who would enjoy it too, and allowing our little allies to join us would be nice.

[cue the three of them arguing over the remote—]

They're still so young...and they're taking on so much. I think it'd only be fair to give them some well-earned time off.

It's not entirely uncommon for kids around their age to join the guilds; some of them even learn to fight. But that's a little different from our current situation. Carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders... Truthfully, I'm not sure how they're doing it.

[He wouldn't ever want to inflict anything like this on Gauche and Droite and they're basically adults. Kids their age, though...]

Don't forget what Tails said. They were worried about that...Dr. Robotnik trying to reach other worlds too. They've had more than any kid should weighing on them.

...I hope having us around has taken at least a little of it off.

Having more of us around certainly helped in rescuing Knuckles, so I imagine he must be feeling at least a little more at ease now.

...You're right. Somehow, we managed to pull that off. Did your group, um, work well together? I think ours did.

We certainly did! Percy and Misfire introduced us to the excellent battle applications of a technique known as the "kickflip".
