Sometime in the morning on Sunday, there are little notes that have been slipped under everyone's doors. Written in markers reads the following:

Let's celebrate getting Knuckles back at Olive Garden tonight at 6pm!!!!

…Yeah………but hey, at least these notes will be customized! Each note has two characters, but, uh, these might not be accurate to who's actually in the room. He doesn't know who everyone's roommates are, so he's just hoping for the best I guess. (Someone's note includes the new guy, More. Shizuka is also on one of these as a pink dolphin with glasses.)

Anyway, the Olive Garden seems to have some balloons floating around. With the current state of the residents, nobody seems to care! There are also chefs in the kitchen who will make whatever you ask, but pushing them around enough will get them to leave the kitchen to anyone who wants to make something. (Thank you Redd.) Drinks are available for everyone, alcohol and regular soft drinks alike, and really? The world is your oyster. … Olive? You get the drill.

You're not familiar with them? Well, admittedly we don't have anything quite like this, [he means a chain business] but we do have some smaller establishments that serve food and drink. Though most of them are more focused on the latter!

[There are so many pubs and bars in Dahngrest. So many.]

No, not at all. Even when the war first started, we had nothing like this at all; any buildings were being used to house what people could fit in them. We didn't have anything like this at all...

[Dorothy's expression brightens, and here--let her get you a glass to start us off.]

Will you tell me about them? Were they always so fancy, or do they take a different form in your world?

Most of them are much smaller - cozier atmosphere, fewer people working; typically run by families rather than a great number of employees. Like this, they serve quite a variety of food and drink. Though some of the bars don't bother with food at all and instead focus on importing drinks from the Empire; quite the long haul for alcohol, but well worth it for those who don't make the trip themselves!

I suppose this means you'll have to visit other places like this while we're here, ja?

Is that so? My, that's actually quite the adorable thought...a whole family coming together, dedicated to one cause...why, that's the most adorable thing I've ever heard. And this is common, where you come from?

[Dorothy sounds delighted by the concept, honestly. She winds up chuckling a bit at it, but it's bright and lighthearted.]

I'd love nothing more than to do that, yes. Have you found any other interesting places, then? You're inarguably the more traveled of the two of us...

Oh, you haven't missed any more than a couple of sips while we talk! Come, join us! This certainly is the perfect environment for making merry with the three of us.

Yeager was just telling me about establishments like this in his own world, because mine have never had them--or at least, they were obsolete by the time that I was created. What about you, Raven, have you had any experiences in places like these?

[He grins and slides in next to Yeager, passing the bottle over. The filled glasses don't go unnoticed, but he'll let this minor slight go. For now!!]

Nothin' quite like this, but I'm a big fan of bars that serve food ta go with drinks. Has Yeager told ya about all the ones in Dahngrest?

He's told me about some of them; they seem to be more family owned establishments where you come from, correct? Which must make their offerings quite delightful.

The bars an' taverns in Dahngrest are chock fulla guild members lookin' ta take a load off after a long day or meet up with potential business partners. It's great fer celebratin', makin' connections or just doin' a bit of people-watchin'. Ya might even get ta see a fight break out! You're guaranteed ta never have the same experience twice.

[He takes a swig of wine, almost a little wistfully. It's been a while since he's gotten to properly do any of that. This is the closest thing, now that he thinks about it.]

Some taverns even bring in live entertainment, like musicians and performers. It's a good way fer them ta start makin' a name fer themselves.

The people of the guilds are quite the lively bunch. Ah, I really have been far too busy lately; I find myself almost missing it. It's been...

...quite some time since I last had the opportunity to visit Dahngrest for pleasure.

[Better not to think about it. Yeager busies himself by drinking more instead.]

[Dorothy listens with surprisingly rapt attention; something in those dull purple eyes outright gleams at Raven's description, chuckling a bit at some of the things he says--it is genuinely amusing to think that you don't have the same experience twice at places like these.]

My, it certainly sounds like quite the way to spend one's time. Whether it be for business or pleasure, it certainly seems like those bars are quite the place to meet; a place to have a good time, or even use everyone else's good time as a way to discuss business while no one is the wiser. And live music...that's something we never had during those balls, though I can see why they would be quite welcome.

They sound quite delightful, truly.

[Dorothy will finish off her current glass of wine and get pouring herself another! Though, Dorothy isn't one to miss the awkwardness that cuts in from Yeager, and Dorothy seems to think for a moment.]

It makes me wonder what sort of other places that this city has, or if it has something like that at all...perhaps we ought to see about finding one for ourselves? Or at the very least, scope out what else this city has.

[At the very least for right now, they can just kind of do their own thing? But this is something Dorothy's never had the opportunity for; the idea is nice, at least.]

[Raven knows exactly where that awkwardness is coming from. In the past, he'd say there's a very good reason why Yeager and the rest of his guild haven't been allowed to set foot in Dahngrest, but now he does find it unfortunate. They'd have had so many more opportunities to run into each other...

At least Dorothy has a really good idea to make up for those lost opportunities.]

I'd be shocked if this place doesn't have a bar or two. It's like triple the size of Dahngrest, if not more!

[He grins between the two of them.]
