Tails looks absolutely relieved to see all of you (mostly) in one piece and he wastes no time at all in hugging Knuckles, forgoing the fist bump entirely. Knuckles pats him on the head and they immediately launch into discussions of what happened. You'll have to save discussions with them for the weekly post because your mod is tired!!

The rest of the day is yours to do with as you see fit. After all, you succeeded in your mission! That has to count for something, right?

Is going to admit Ed did not expect it to go...so well!

I did expect much worse. I do not even think any of us got severely maimed, as far as I can see. A marked improvement from our first altercation.

Is all about preparation, I am sure. Preparation and also having a moment to plan. First time was surprise attack, this time we attacked.

[The element of surprise tilted things into everyone's favor! But now that Eggman must know Knuckles has been set free, there's no way any future skirmishes will be as easy to deal with]

Perhaps so. We did organize quite well under guidance; it could be that is all we really need to find our edge.

Is feeling a little bad for Ashley, though. She is...still a little scared.

[And that worries him because, well...someone freezing when the things get tough can get hurt. Ed is no seasoned fighter, but he manages not to get paralyzed with fear. Ashley seems to be not quite there yet]

...She is a child with little ability to fight, I would be terrified myself in her position.

[To say nothing of the monsters he knew she'd dealt with. That would leave anyone a trembling wreck, as far as Viktor was concerned.]

We will need to support her, and I know she will do the same for us with that ability. I believe her willpower will improve, with time.

Ed had only known hardened warriors, many years ago. Is not sure about right way to support someone like her...

[More like he doesn't realize he already is on the right track by being supportive and watching out for her. That's just how he is, so he doesn't realize that's what Ashley needs]
