Tails and Sonic brought everyone together on Friday to discuss the current situation. Knuckles, their remaining ally, has been missing since around the time you guys arrived in that other world. Tails has finally tracked his location down and is sending you all in for a rescue operation. Since there's simply no way to get through Eggman's security without smashing a few robots, you've been split up into three teams, each with a different task.
Team A is going to cause a distraction. And by that I mean "fight plenty of robots". By drawing the attention to a different side of the base, the hope is that the other two teams will be able to slip in undetected and get Knuckles out safely. Your job is to put on a show - to make sure that the robots patrolling the base have their eyes set on you all, and you all alone.
Team B is in charge of infiltrating the base and gathering information. Leading the way into the base, they'll take out whatever robots are left and make sure that there's a clear path to get to the room Knuckles is being held in. After that, you have a limited time before you need to withdraw - but it's the perfect chance to see what exactly was going on in this base. You'll be investigating a couple of rooms in the base to see what you can learn.
Team C is going to make sure Knuckles gets out safely. Considering there's been no contact with him in two weeks, it might be good to bring some medical supplies, just in case. Of course, given his general personality - as described by Sonic and Tails - he's probably not going to be all that happy with the situation, so you may need to rein him in from wrecking things. You'll also have to get out of the base - so better prepare for a fight, just in case.
Get ready; you've only got one shot at this.
TEAM A Basilio | Dorothy | Gyles | Jasper | Misfire Oscar | Percy | Shinei | Wednesday | Yeager | Yves
TEAM B Ashley | Atem | Ed | Gracious Skylark | Jinx Lucifer | Rio | Sonia | Viktor | Void Archives
TEAM C Bailey | Fleabag | Fukuda | Michael | Mafuyu Raven | Shizuka | Sunday | Vakama | Wolfwood
As a reminder, you may use your shards together in combat... though what exactly will happen when you do?
[The grate, much like the rest of the exterior of this building, has seen better days. It's old and worn, still firmly in place but definitely showing signs of wear. While it isn't particularly large... one of the smaller of your number could likely fit in there, if you could get it off. They'd need to stand on someone's shoulders to get in, but it seems like this leads to an air vent.]
He starts to stretch before anyone tries to pick him up. He doesn't know what he's doing other than crawling through the vent, but... being limber sounds like the most optimal approach, so.]
Whenever everyone's ready, just give Rio and me a boost up.
... No one has ever picked him up voluntarily. Most people just grab him by the arm or neck because he weighs less than 100 lbs. He isn't hard to exactly pick up.
And this is kinda humiliating to be honest, but Rio's the only other one who can fit so. Gotta do it to save their friend's friend.]
[In you go! With all your preparations, you both are well-equipped to make it through here pretty easily; the vent has definitely seen better days, but it is sturdy - it'll eventually lead you to a grate on the other side, though this one is so worn that even with your strength, you can easily push it off, YugiAtem.
Once you're both safely out of the vent, you'll find that you're inside the building, deposited just a turn away from the door. There's a keypad on this side of the door as well as a card reader. The keypad has only numbers, as well as a green and a red button. There's a small light at the top, currently displaying red.]
[Yugi pops the vent with what's hopefully not a very loud clatter.
Then drops with ease. Holds his arms up to help Rio down, too.]
What have we got here...
[He motions for Rio to check out the keypad and reader with him. Do they need a passcode...? Or is it just as worn slash dusty as the rest of the equipment so it's obvious what buttons to press? Or would that be too easy...]
[She takes the assist down, but since Yugi's checking out the keypad she'll actually quietly peer around to see if there's any other areas of interest that might be worth investigating for a keycard.]

How small is the grate, anyway? It's condition? ]

As of right now, it seems like the grate might be our best venture.
[So who wants to venture inside and hope someone got really sloppy with that card key?]

They are too big to go in themselves, though...so they will wait. ]

[The Hexclaw unfolded from his shoulder, sparking to life with a bright purple laser to cut the grate open.]

There's medical supplies inside, so if someone could keep it with them, that would be good!

I'm ready.

Up you go, Atem.
He can't even crack a Die Hard joke about this. A shame.]
Good luck.

You two try and keep out of sight.
[Normally he'd be for chaos, but they're not supposed to be the distraction team!!]

Got it.
[He begins to shimmy along inside the vent.]

[In Rio goes right after Yugi!]
