The passage of time in this place is not easily tracked, not without a clock of some sort, anyway. The days may even begin to blend together, only occasionally interrupted by confrontations with the robot spiders or discussion with whoever is on the other end of that terminal.
It seems like things won't change any time soon. But something is off today, and some of you may notice it sooner than others.
The mind-numbing drone of the nearby builder going about its work has been with you from the very start. Located behind the terminal and far down below, it was the first sound you heard upon arriving here. It has been arranging walkways in increasingly complicated and baffling designs, extending them ever outwards into space. This much has not changed at all during your time here; the drone of the machinery moving and metal being slotted into place may even have become somewhat comforting background noise.
It is completely silent today.
The skittering of spider robots through the vents or patrolling the area is not heard either, and though the atmosphere remains as gloomy as ever, the lack of sound will undoubtedly be noticeable to some of you. Thankfully, you can still hear; it's simply that the machines have stopped their usual tasks, for whatever reason.
[Vakama and Shizuka are (barely) able to pull one of the builder's arms back to give enough wiggle room for Oscar, Ed, and Bailey to escape. Lucifer's shield protects Percy and Michael this round, blocking all damage.
Void's attack bounces harmlessly off the builder; it doesn't react at all. Viktor's on the other hand (pun intended) gets the builder's arm to jolt a bit. It's not quite enough to let anyone else free, but it does temporarily halt it.
Too bad that ultimately doesn't do much, as the builder brings its elbows backwards to crush the still-trapped characters for more damage. Roll a 1d20 for your freedom, same rules as last round.]
[While his third arm is preoccupied, that gives Viktor the freedom to shoot Void an unmistakable look of are you stupid by nature or is it a refined skill?]
[ He's so close, so close to getting out behind the other three, but then the elbows move backwards and this? This actually hurts(1). He is still trapped in builder hell, apparently. ]
[Dorothy admittedly rolls a 10, so she's not quite out of the woods yet, though there's definitely the sound of some of her robotics getting crunchy under the weight of the builder and she does NOT need to make this any harder.
Dorothy attempts to focus. She needs to. She's not letting anyone die here but she is useless right now, so she's...
She's going to attempt to see if she can find some sort of weak spot and send a small jet of water at it. Maybe it'll dislodge it or make it let her go but she has nothing right now--]
[Unfortunately, no spider bots are around here! But while you're looking around, you may notice a flash of silver in your vision. It's there one moment, gone the next. Exactly what it was is impossible to tell, but it isn't a match for the same silver as the builder or the spider robots.]
[Once freed, Oscar is immediately racing over to Atem to try to pry him loose with his pipe because this guy is tiny and so is probably not having a great time being squashed like that!]
Hang on just a little longer, I'll have you out in a sec...
[ no good deed goes unpunished or something, right? it's great that bailey was able to be freed but sort of sucks that he's now and still trapped (3) by the builder.
D'ya think we can mess with that terminal? I can get over there without bein' detected.
[But he wants to make sure he can actually accomplish something if he's going to his his power. He'll be pretty useless for a round after. But hey, better useless for a round than useless the entire time.]
[The sudden appearance of Lucifer's shield surprises Michael a little, but he's quick to take advantage of it, ducking beneath the robot arm to get free (20). Unfortunately, he's not fast enough to grab anyone else and drag them along.]
Shit, come on...
[He knows what he should probably do, but - that wouldn't help anyway, right? His power doesn't exactly manifest a weapon or shoot off an elemental attack. It's not that different from his normal human limbs. Still using his regular human arm, he yanks the nearest piece of metal railing off and tries to come at the arm from the other side, aiming to jam it into the elbow joint. He knows all about weak points on humans, why not big robots?]
[...okay. he was considering trying to get in close to see if he can zoop into his shadow and see any of its weak points, but Ashley's vision has him sliding up next to her with a Survival Horror Pipe in hand so if something tries to jump her he can hit it in the face...]
[Ed manages to wriggle out, and of course, his focus is to try to get the thing's arm away from anyone still trapped. But he's just one old hyena, and his roll of 7 doesn't help.
ROUND 2

[ Wolfwood, why are you still trapped?
Let's try aiming for the builder's head next. ]

Wouldn't aiming for the arm be a better idea?!

I suppose so.

Keep your eye on the enemy. It'd be a pity if you were smacked around like some sort of toy.

The shield Lucifer sent to Percy and Michael still holds, but he goes flying back, with his nat 1.
He's not stuck, but he is winded. Good luck everyone else?]

Fucking hell-!!!

[The claw rotated and charged up another shot, aiming for the same spot in the joint of the elbow trapping the others.]

Buuuuut they are also running low on options, considering their lack of Combat Experience combined with None Minion at the moment.
Unless there's a recently squashed spider bot laying around...? 🥺]
