[ No. They aren't expecting Wolfwood to say nothing, and they are in earnest feeling something dissatisfactory, but they can tell that the man is speaking from the heart. It does frustrate them a little that he would earnestly deny himself in even a fictional scenario - because they are still of the opinion that it really wouldn't kill him to be a little more selfish. To reach for something for himself - even in the face of whatever kind of complicated history he has with his own past.

So instead of any sort of marvel or appreciation for him sticking to his guns a first, Void Archives merely folds their arms at every single bit of reasoning the man hands them, letting out a soft huff.

Though...the latter half of that they find reasonable. That sounds more logical than anything - someone would have naturally taken up Wolfwood's position if it weren't him. Vash would have probably turned full of hatred if someone had murdered his brother - maybe. They can't know it, but...

(In some canon alternate universe out there, Welt Yang turned against humanity because he watched his family and his found family be murdered viciously in front of his eyes.)

They let out a sigh. And shake their head regardless. ]

You're right on some points at least. There is no guarantee some of it may 'stick' as it were, and in some instances I suppose it may as well turn you into some kind of coward.

Of all the reasonings I have heard you use to deny yourself an opportunity to take advantage, at least this time it was something I can agree with.

...Even if I am still on the fence in regards to the first portion of it.

Regardless, you also did answer sincerely and honestly. I shall find no fault in the amount of effort you gave to convey that.

Though, I do wish your bravery extended quite a bit farther to help you out more than hinder you~

[ Void Archives says with a tinge of their own usual push or pull kind of tone, but anticipating a perfect reaction from this cube may be much even in how far things have managed to come. Yet, maybe it is a far cry from how they would have handled it in the beginning - they would have scorned more than not. ]
