...It's funny. Well--it's not, but it's funny in that sort of cosmic way where I end up the punchline. The door being forced open broke my cane, so he walked me home--on the way I asked him how he could have possibly known to do that. He launched into this whole excited story about how some passing mage saved his life and gave him a runestone...how that made him believe wholeheartedly in how magic could be used to help others.

A paradox. He learns of magic, we develop Hextech, it turns me into a monster, and the lone Machine Herald that ended Runeterra spends eternity reaching to other timelines to prevent himself from doing so again.
...Even if it did not emerge unscathed...our timeline was still a successful one. So I can not very well just leave him behind, after all the trouble I caused.
