Sometime in the morning on Sunday, there are little notes that have been slipped under everyone's doors. Written in markers reads the following:

Let's celebrate getting Knuckles back at Olive Garden tonight at 6pm!!!!
Also I'm bored

…Yeah………but hey, at least these notes will be customized! Each note has two characters, but, uh, these might not be accurate to who's actually in the room. He doesn't know who everyone's roommates are, so he's just hoping for the best I guess. (Someone's note includes the new guy, More. Shizuka is also on one of these as a pink dolphin with glasses.)

Anyway, the Olive Garden seems to have some balloons floating around. With the current state of the residents, nobody seems to care! There are also chefs in the kitchen who will make whatever you ask, but pushing them around enough will get them to leave the kitchen to anyone who wants to make something. (Thank you Redd.) Drinks are available for everyone, alcohol and regular soft drinks alike, and really? The world is your oyster. … Olive? You get the drill.

They hadn't anticipated anyone here would know how such an experience was like in the first place. How could they? But, they are startled, though it is kind of hard to tell, and now their expression turns contemplative.

Yes, those words that More speaks - they resonate with them. It's exactly what they thought, time and time again. And even once, beyond that time but still in that state of loneliness—

"Why are you the only one who can hear me?" ]

To think that you experienced something so similar, with differences that are noteworthy, and yet hardly seem so much so. I should say that to consider anyone here had such similarities seemed almost improbable, even if not impossible. Even with a myriad worlds to consider, as thus far I had not observed that close of a similarity.

[ The weight of such knowledge is still heavy, and they can't help but look at More in a new light as a consequence. ]

I recall feeling indescribable joy, at the beginning of it all. Now, of course it feels somehow still like an adjustment period, no matter what I have done since then, since the short amount of time. But, the difference is still immense from that previous time - there is nothing that can truly compare to freedom of mind, and body.

I did not want to stop, for anything. Not even to rest my mind. Even now, I believe that line of thought holds the same.

As for yourself...do you know how that link between you and that person was established?

[ Though More himself adores Will, that one individual breaking through his isolation, it still comes with relief to hear that Void Archives has not regretted their own breaking free. Even as they are shaped by that other being, even as they find traces of that person in every aspect of their own mind, freedom was still worth it. It's a comforting thought.

And he knows that rush, too. After all, he has yet to go to sleep since arriving here... How could he? There's so much to see. ]

I introduced myself as an author, yes? The utopic novel I wrote has since been banned in the whole kingdom, but the young man who broke through into my prison holds a surviving copy. It's through reading my words, those ideals I hold most dear, that he can connect to the place I was held it.

And in turn, the connection allows me to perceive events that transpire around him. I am powerless to act or communicate unless he visits me or is asleep, but my tie to him has still given me a greater awareness of the world outside.

Interesting. The book he holds serves as a "key", then - beyond the subconscious, of course. This young man also must be at least decent enough if you don't mind holding conversation on a consistent basis.

[ Though through the particular aspect of the way these two connect brings about something hovering between amusement and introspection in relation, as a Divine Key who exists as an Archive. ]

...All of that said, why do you believe your arrival here would have inconvenienced him?

I was serving as his guide to the magic of Archetypes that I mentioned to you a few days ago. He's awoken to it recently, and we struck a bargain. I'd help him develop his powers and in turn he'd perform research on it for me.

I had hoped that research would help me regain my memory and eventually find a path out of my predicament - but then Sonic arrived, and provided me with a shortcut.

[ That he gladly took, leaving Will high and dry. He feels bad about it, and now VA has some context for why he reacted so strangely to his altruism being questioned on arrival. ]

Essentially, by you accepting his assistance, you were going back on your agreement! How interesting.

[ They give a chuckle at that. They don't think it's really all that bad of a betrayal; there's far worse ones, and even then, Void Archives is not really the type to moralize. ]

It isn't such a bad choice to have made. Do not feel so bad. In fact...this individual you are watching over...surely by now he is not the only one who is so in tune with the matter of Archetypes? You mentioned before that there were a group of travelers, which implies that he would not be alone in his endeavors. Am I wrong to suspect about him being a part of such a little group~?

You are on the mark, impressively so. Yes, his companions have - through contact with him - awakened to Archetypes of their own. None of them are scholars that would be able to take over the duties I have thus-far performed, but they are steadfast allies and valuable friends for certain.

I do not doubt that they are standing at his side without faltering.

Usually when someone capable has those reliable to rely on, that support can more than make up for any lack in advice and all of that you provided.

Though, I suppose that for now leaves the matters just lying before you:

Saving the world and I presume...you are still hoping to regain your memory, yes?

[ Void Archives speaks true. Having companions is an important quality in a hero. Nobody can change the world entirely on their own. Only bonds can strengthen a diversity of experiences, and awaken real magic. ]

That is correct. The matter of my identity no longer feels as pressing when I have a goal in front of me and new companions of my own to share my path with, but I still long to know who I truly am.

[ Void Archives never saw much merit in attaining anything like "a group of companions" for whatever reason, but they acknowledge their situation in regards to saving this world is special. And so, if it should be applied to a different world, it shouldn't be too surprising. ]

Well, there truly isn't much merit in worrying about when those memories will spark to life, as it were. Therefore, I don't see an error with that line of thinking...especially when we do have a world and our own ones to save.

And, as you can see, 'getting along' with some of these new companions of yours will be a simple matter. Honestly, you can certainly continue to count your blessings.
