For another, I did specifically make sure that they'd help with your guys' transition into this world. So they'll keep you safe from illness while you're here! They also grant you a power - which isn't how it usually works, from what Sonic's told me. All seven Chaos Emeralds can grant someone immense strength, but it isn't the same as the Master Emerald here, and it isn't like your powers at all.

So long story short, because I created them myself, they work a little differently from the real things, but that can work to our advantage, since it'll give you guys a fighting chance against Eggman.
